Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS - Dirty LemonMade in 2017
Recently, we have had a lot of “flamed” maple tops in stock, but this time we have a realistic 59 reissue with just the right amount of flamed finish. The finish is also dirty lemon, which goes well with the maple top and has a 59-like appearance from that time. The weight is not too light and not too heavy, and the sound is well-balanced from top to bottom with two Custom Bucker pickups.
This instrument is a used one, but it has arrived in a beautiful condition with little use overall.
The exterior is in very shiny condition, originally finished in VOS, but with use and cleaning it has a glossy finish somewhere between gloss and VOS. There are no major scratches that stand out, but there are some minor scratches between the pickups and on the back plate that may have been caused when the back plate was removed. The back of the body has some color loss from the aniline die, and the neck binding has some paint bleeding. There are also some scratches and very minor scuffs.
The frets are slightly worn, but there is about 90% remaining. The neck is in almost straight condition without any high ups or twists. When the neck was set up at our store, we only checked the truss rod and confirmed that there is enough room on both sides. (When checking for leeway, we use the torque when turning the truss rod so as not to affect the current condition of the neck).
All used items in stock are fully set up.
We do not sell them immediately after setup, but rather we start selling them after checking the condition for a certain period of time to ensure that they are in good condition for use after purchase.
The item comes with a certificate of authenticity, original hard case, and tags.
